Network Feedback Highlights Challenges and Opportunities To Improve Medtech Reimbursement Process

Discover the takeaways from our Medtech Reimbursement Network Survey Brief! As a funder of technology innovation, ARPA-H is interested in developing best-in-class services to support agency-funded solutions in securing reimbursement. To aid in this effort, we issued a network survey to solicit input from key stakeholders on the reimbursement landscape for medical devices and diagnostics. Our network shared valuable insights on navigating a complex system, investing early in strategy development, and seeking feedback sooner from payors and clinical partners.

Upcoming Deadlines for ARPA-H Opportunities

Several ARPA-H programs are accepting solution summaries and proposals. Please make note of these open funding opportunities and applicable deadlines for submissions.

• Solution summaries for ARPA-H’s Genetic Medicines and Individualized Manufacturing for Everyone (GIVE) program are due tomorrow, December 19. The goal of the program is to develop reliable, simple to use, distributed manufacturing and quality control platforms for RNA-based genetic medicines. Review the FAQs and solicitation details.
• ARPA-H recently announced its Making Obstetrics Care Smart (MOCS) program, which aims to use advanced diagnostics and smart technology to make births safe. Pre-proposal discussions are required between December 15-19, 2025. Request a session via the ARPA-H Solutions Portal.

• Sprint for Women’s Health performer General Proximity announced a multi-target collaboration with Daiichi Sankyo to advance novel oncology therapeutics using General Proximity’s OmniTAC™ platform.
• Belle.ai, a performer with ARPA-H’s Small Business Innovation Research program, met with nearly 10 spokes in our network uniquely positioned to help accelerate their artificial intelligence technology to market. • Going to JPM? ARPA-H is heading to San Francisco during the 44th Annual J.P. Morgan Healthcare conference in 2026! If you’re passionate about bold health innovation, complete their form to request time with ARPA-H Program Managers to discuss transformative ideas and potential collaborations.
• Dr. Alicia Jackson, ARPA-H’s newly appointed director, shared highlights from her first month leading the agency and called for innovators’ continued engagement with ARPA-H programs to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone.
• Spokes who haven’t had the opportunity to join a spoke onboarding meeting can now watch the recording as well as a demo of the member portal. If you haven’t already, introduce yourself to the network and check out the resource library for helpful guides and templates.
